Keep Drawn Here focused on places, sketches, and the ways artists see them.
The location is the key. Your artwork should depict or meaningfully respond to the specific place where it is submitted.
What belongs here
- Your own original artwork made at, from, or directly inspired by a real place.
- Urban sketches, landscapes, interiors, gardens, architecture, objects, people, animals, and other subjects when the place is meaningfully part of the artwork.
- Any traditional or digital drawing/painting medium. A photo or scan of your finished sketch is fine.
Copyright & original work
Please only upload artwork and images that you created or have permission to share. Don’t upload copyrighted characters, logos, photographs, artwork, or other protected material belonging to someone else unless you have permission to use it.
Your artwork remains yours. By submitting it to Drawn Here, you’re simply giving us permission to display it as part of the site.
It’s okay for a sketch of a real place to naturally include things you see there—such as signs, public art, packaging, or posters. The goal is simply not to submit someone else’s protected work as your own.
What doesn't belong here
- Photography submitted as the artwork, AI-generated images, copied artwork, advertising, or spam.
- Pornographic or sexually explicit material.
- Graphic violence or gore.
- Images whose primary purpose is depicting or promoting harmful or illegal drug abuse.
- Hateful, harassing, threatening, or exploitative content.
- Artwork unrelated to the place where it is submitted.
Submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly. Drawn Here may decline work that doesn't fit the place-focused purpose of the project.

About Drawn Here
Drawn Here is a map of places seen through artists’ eyes.
Every place on the map has been drawn by someone who stopped, looked, and made something there. The sketches are the heart of it; the map simply helps you find them.
1. Find a place
Explore the map and open a place sketchbook to see what artists noticed there.
2. Draw there
Visit a place, make a sketch, and add your view to its growing sketchbook.
3. Start somewhere new
If your place isn’t on the map yet, share the first sketch and start its sketchbook.

Privacy
Information you provide
If you create an artist account, Drawn Here stores the account information needed to sign you in, including your email address and the profile information you choose to add. If you submit a sketch or place, we also store the artwork, sketch details, location, and other information you submit.
What is public
Approved sketches, place information, artist names, and any profile details you choose to make public may appear on Drawn Here. Your login email is not displayed on public artist profiles.
How information is used
Information is used to operate Drawn Here, review submissions, display approved artwork and places, maintain artist accounts, and help protect the site from spam or misuse.
Third-party services
Drawn Here currently uses PocketBase for account and site data, OpenFreeMap/MapLibre for maps, and OpenStreetMap-based location search. Those services may receive technical information needed to provide their features.
Your choices
You can choose what optional profile information to share. If you need account information or submitted material corrected or removed, contact the Drawn Here project administrator.
This privacy summary may be updated as Drawn Here grows or adds new services.
